Knowing that this website can never give you the full picture of Atoka's First Baptist Church, we want to give you a glimpse of the amazing things God is doing in our people, our community, and our world. But more than that, how God is shaping us from within and molding us to be more like Him.

We pray that God will spark your interest to see through our website what God is doing here and that you will learn more about us and the God we serve.

First Baptist Church of Atoka is the oldest Southern Baptist Church in Oklahoma with continous service. We were founded by J.S. Murrow on May 5th, 1869. We are part of the Atoka/Coal Baptist Association, the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.

Our purpose is to love God and others through Jesus Christ. We are a body of believers who know that no single one of us is complete without the gift of salvation from the One that makes us whole. We strive together to be more like the Savior, Jesus Christ, and light the way for others to come to know Him. Our desire is to build a church that loves the lost and has a burning desire to see them come to know Christ personally.

Associational Children's Camp at Falls Creek

Assoc. Children's Camp is May 28-31. We will leave at 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon and will be back after lunch on Saturday. Please come by Allen's office to pick up a registration form for your child. The deadline for registration will be Sunday May 25. The Parent/Child meeting will be Wednesday May 21 at 7:30 p.m. Money will be accepted in the office to pay for groceries for camp in lieu of donating groceries items. Contact Allen at 889-6633 for more information about camp.

Atoka High School Baccalaureate

Atoka High School's Baccalaureate will be on Sunday May 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Kelly Field House on the High School Campus. The purpose for this baccalaureate is for our local churches to encourage them to continue to seek God as they go to the next step of their lives. Our services will be cancelled that evening in order for our folks to support the graduating seniors.

Youth Camp at Falls Creek

Youth camp will be at Falls Creek this year. Camp will be June 2-6. Please contact Dustin at 889-6633 for more information about camp. Money will be accepted for groceries in lieu of donating grocery items.
